This year marks a huge milestone for me—one year of sobriety. To celebrate, I'm organizing friends and family get-together with a 1 vs 1 Breaking event that's free for everyone to attend. Breaking has been a passion of mine for almost 30 years, and it's played a big role in my journey to recovery. I want to give back to the community that has supported me and create a space where we can all come together to celebrate resilience, movement, and hope.
Now, I am putting this on with no sponsorship, and I am just one man with a family trying to stay financially stable and raise my son without falling into any debts. I am throwing this event from the prunes of my heart to serve my loved ones and community but still, with that said, still, any help would be appreciated! Putting on this event means covering costs for the venue, equipment, guest fees, and more. My goal is to make it as special and welcoming as possible, so everyone who attends feels the love and gratitude I have for this new chapter in my life. Every dollar raised will go directly toward making this event a reality and ensuring it's an experience to remember.
I'm inviting my friends, family, and anyone who has been part of my journey to join me in what I love doing the most—Breaking. Without my sobriety, I wouldn’t have my family, dance and even life itself, and I am beyond grateful for the chance to celebrate with you all. Thank you for supporting me, for believing in second chances, and for helping me open the doors to others who know what it means to overcome their own battles. Your encouragement and support mean the world to me.
This event is also a qualifier event for a future event I plan on having. It will lead to a much bigger event at the end of the year called Play It By Ear (P.I.B.E), where breaking and music producers will intertwine to create an unforgettable night of music, dance, and art. Your support now helps lay the foundation for even greater celebrations and community connections ahead.
