On Friday night, 05/21/2022, in Egypt, chaos erupted when my family members learned that my cousin, Ahmed’s 13 year old son, Omar, was ran over and crushed by a 26,000 lb truck while playing outside. Omar lost 8 liters of blood before medics arrived and transported him to a hospital. Due to the extent of his injuries, he was transported to a private hospital to ensure he wasn't subjected to poor quality healthcare where sanitation is of low priority and quality of care is subpar. He has suffered from broken bones, muscle tears, loss of blood, injuries to organs and disfigurement of his legs. His first few days he was fighting an infection despite being placed in a higher quality hospital. Amputation is being considered due to the extent of his injuries. He will need to undergo major skin grafting surgery due to losing chunks of his skin, fat and muscles. Doctors have predicted he will be unable to walk for approximately 6 months and will eventually need physical therapy to be able to walk again.
His father is currently pay 20,000 Egyptian pounds a day which equals approximately $1075 US Dollars. He is being told there are numerous surgeries that he will still need to undergo and is unsure what the total cost will be.
Aside from the sudden trauma this family is enduring, it should be known how loved and how much good his father does for everyone in his extended family, for his friends, and for the general public. He is someone you can trust your life with, most valued humans and possessions. He will never say "no" even if he does not have the means to provide and he does everything with pure heart and soul. Our family would be absolutely crushed and heart broken if Omar's life is altered due to lack of funds or proper health care.
We are blessed to live in a country where some seem to forget the benefits it provides, especially within healthcare. Unfortunately for others worldwide, they live in countries where the healthcare system is of poor quality, and minor infections or operations can turn fatal due to the lack of equipment, technology, money and specialists.

Anything is highly appreciated in a situation like this, and our family will be forever grateful if one day Omar can regain his normal life back. Please re-post & share.
GoFundMe has asked me to specify the following information to you all: My cousin's son, Omar, is the person who this fundraiser is for. They reside in Egypt. The funds will be wire transferred to my cousin. These funds will be used to continue to house Omar in the hospital he is currently in. As stated above, each night is approx. $1k. They will also be used to circumvent issues as they arise, such as purchasing medical supplies in the event that the hospital runs out. We are also anticipating physical therapy once he recovers from his major injuries.
