Arson Fire Victim

Ollie King is a San Francisco native and grew up in the heart of the Mission District. The place that he called home for his entire life was involved in a major fire incident in the middle of the night on Saturday, March 30th. He awoke at 2am to the sounds of sirens and firefighters knocking down his door. A suspected arsonist started a fire in the back of the property, engulfing and destroying 3 of the family cars. The fire quickly spread up two buildings owned by the family, destroying a majority of the backside of the buildings and roof. Ollie and his family members all were able to escape the fire with no injuries, thank goodness they are all safe.

In addition to this tragic situation, there have been daily break-ins into the property. Not only have they become victim to arson and fire, but now to theft and vandalism. There has been a high emotional toll that has had to be pushed to the side as he focuses on quickly moving out of the property to avoid any further loss.

We ask that you contribute anything that you can to aid in funds needed for temporary housing, food, replacement of stolen and damaged goods, and ultimately the cost to clear out the building and moving towards the future.
