Support Historic Kauai Channel Crossing for CF

On July 6, 2024 I will be the first women to cross the Kauai Channel on a SUP! My support crew consits of 4 string, brave women

I'm paddling in Honor of The Piper's Angels Foundation, to help raise money and awareness for those battling Cystic Fibrosis!

I can't accomplish my goal without the help of people like you!! Your donation will help cover the cost of fuel, safety equipment and travel expenses. (It costs almost 10k to pull off an event like this!!) Any funds not applied to our crossing will be donated to The Piper's Angels Foundation.

The Kauai Channel: Kaʻieʻie Waho Channel

At nearly 11,000 feet deep and 85 miles across (from Hale'iwa to Kalapaki Bay) crossing the Kauai Channel is serious business.

The Island of Kauai was never conquered by King Kamehameha and some if this is contributed to the rigors of the Kauai Channel.

The journey is expected to take around 22 hours and will involve paddling overnight through the dark.

When I reach Kalapaki Bay on Kauai, I will become the first women to cross on a stand up board and will join only a handful of people who have ever completed the journey on a SUP.

What is Cystic Fibrosis

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a rare genetic condition that affects 35,000 children and adults nationwide. CF causes the organs of the body to over produce mucus, which leads to chronic infections and eventually organ failure.

In the 1950s, children with CF were not expected to live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, approximately half of all people with CF in the United States are 18 years or older. The steady “aging” of the CF population reflects the remarkable progress that has been made in understanding and treating CF.
