George Henry. George. . .all those of us who went to Owen Valley HS or lived in Owen County, Indiana, between 1969 & 1976 only
need to hear that name to be transported back to those years
when he encouraged, supported, taught, mentored, & shared his
faith in Christ with us. He introduced football to OVHS. Through
Young Life he opened his life & his home to teenagers & college
leaders alike. We laughed with him, cried with him, shared jokes,
skits, & songs with him. His infectious energy exploded into our
lives, & we have never been the same.

And today, George needs our help. His body has been slowly
deteriorating from an ALS-type disease which kills nerves &
greatly weakens all his muscles. It causes extreme pain that
started in his legs & has progressed all over his body so that now
he is unable to stand or walk. His last trip to the hospital sent him on to rehab in a nursing home which did not strengthen his legs or relieve any of the pain. So, George is back home with Hospice
nurses 3 hours per day & home health care to assist Cindy with his care for 6 hours a day. As you can imagine, the home care costs are astronomical; hence this campaign. Please donate to give some
financial relief to Cindy as she cares for him & to ease George’s
concern about his end-of-life care. Let’s bless them more than
they can imagine; George gave so much to us individually & to the entire Owen County community. It’s our time to have his back!
