ODVN's LifeSaver Fund
Tax deductible
In my 20 years as an advocate, I’ve seen first-hand how helping domestic violence survivors deal with emergency expenses can be the best way to keep them from returning to their abusers.
You can help the Ohio Domestic Violence Network keep more survivors on the road to self-sufficiency by donating to our LifeSaver Fund during the month of October. Every penny we raise will be used to provide direct assistance to survivors and their children.
We feel an extra sense of urgency about our fundraiser this year.
For the third year in a row, ODVN’s most important funding source – our Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant – will be cut substantially – by 41%. That means the number of families who receive assistance through our Relocation and Legal Assistance programs could be cut by more than a third. Last year those programs served 1,572 survivors and 673 children.
If you can’t make a donation, please help spread the word by sharing our fundraiser on social media.
I appreciate anything you can do to help!
