Hello Family, Friends and Supporters. My name is Nware R. Burge. I am an Award-Winning Independent Documentary Filmmaker, an
Adjunct College Professor, High School History / Special Education Teacher and a PhD candidate. I am currently in development of several
film projects and I am in need of your support. My first project entitled: "DNA-Using Genealogy To Chang My Slave Last Name", won Best
Documentary at the 2018~The BlackStar International Film Festival in Accra, Ghana. My film DNA was also a finalist for Best
Documentary at the 2020~SanDiego Black Film Festival in SanDiego, California and the 2019~Newark International Film Festival in
Newark, New Jersey. DNA was also an Official Selection into the 2020~Dividing Lines Symposium and an Official Selection into the
2020~Africa World Documentary Film Festival. The films subject matter and content garnered attention from International film festivals
such as the 2019~Festival International du Films Pan-Aficain de Cannes and academic institutions such as Oxford University in London.
For current and new supporters, I would like you to know that any funding that you donate will be directly used to support all of my current
film needs such as editing, production, film equipment, interviews, travel expenses, etc. I will be extremely grateful for any funding support
that will allow for me to develop more thought provoking film content that will benefit academic and arts institutions as well as those who
