I am Louie's sister, Rosemary. I am raising crisis and medical money for my brother, Louie Johnston II(age 51) . Living with crippling Rheumatoid Arthritis, Louie has had worsening disabling pain and limited movement for at least five years, and he has already been on several trials of ineffective medications. His deteriorating condition is devastating; his joints in the hands and arms have only 10% of normal movement, which has forced him to quit his job as a chef at Perkins- now he can't lift a glass sometimes, or even a fork. We have been helping him throughout the disability process since March.
He needs financial help now, his R.A. is crippling him rapidly, and he needs more than we are able to help with, for living expenses, unexpected emergencies, and to get to the next phase of medical treatment. The Doctors said Louie actually needs joint replacements, but has to go through the Disability approval process. (and they are moving about as fast as he is..) He has to be on this current med regimen at least a year; he has been on it since May and it's not helping. Some days he cannot stand on his right leg at all because of the inflammation. He frequently needs "hands on care" that his son (14) helps with when he can't get dressed or do other related activities.
My goal is to raise at least $10,000 to get him over this hump from the income reduction, complete inability to consistently perform any activity, and with future needs. We appreciate your donations and prayers for improvement and less pain. Please share this with friends and family. I know people can feel uncomfortable donating on line by credit card, unfortunately, that is the only way to pay on this platform. Please message me for the address if you'd like to make a donation by check. I will be glad to answer questions by message or phone:

We can get this done together.
