Northcrest Swim Club - Diving Boards

• Hi, my name is Melissa Blair. I am a Northcrest Swim Club member with kids on the swim team. My kids (like many of yours I’m sure) are missing the thrill of the high dive and we would really love to see it come back to life soon.
• Our high dive was installed in 1988 and has a crack in it, because of this it is no longer safe to use.
• Replacing the dive boards are a big expense and not in the capital improvement budget for this year.
• High-dives are becoming rare as new pools are no longer installing them. We want to do everything we can to update it and maintain it because once it is removed we can not get it back.
• The low dive is used for competition and was installed in 1997. This board also needs to be resurfaced.
• $8,000 will help pay for new boards-- $10,000 will cover new boards and the expense of sandblasting and repainting the stand.
• We currently have 200 active memberships. If each membership would be willing to donate $50 we could cover the full cost for both diving boards and still have a high-dive.
