North H.S. NJROTC Trip To Regionals

Hello. I am Chief Tony Pastrana and I am the NJROTC Naval Science Instructor at North H.S. in Worcester, MA. I sincerely hope that you will consider donating to our cause to help fund our first ever trip to the regional drill qualifier competition in upstate N.Y. which will take place on December 19th 2015.
We are part of the All Navy New England Drill League along with 6 other schools where we have consistently placed in 2nd & 1st place every year. The students would love to take their talents to the regional competition this year however we currently do not have sufficient funding to do so. Going on this trip would require paying for a bus from Worcester, MA to upstate NY and an over night stay at a hotel for the 40 members of our drill team. Neither the school nor the Navy pays for this so we rely solely on the generosity of donors and fundraising to make this happen.
In addition to the costs associated with transportation and a hotel stay, my cadets are also in need of matching athletic warm up suits that will represent our school colors and pride. We want to look like a team when traveling to these competitions and right now, (unfortunately) that is not the case. Some cadets wear Navy athletic gear while others wear athletic gear from home. It does not show team spirit and unity and does not look professional. I am working with a company to outfit all drill team members with warm up suits; but that will cost an additional $2000. It would be fantastic if we would not only be able to go to the regional qualifiers next month; but do so actually looking like a professional drill team.
These are wonderful students who do much for their community from marching in parades throughout the year, decorating the grave sites of fallen veterans, to assisting the elderly with leaf raking & snow shoveling, and performing Color Guard duties at numerous functions throughout the city just to name a portion of the over 9000 hours of community service that these cadets completed last year alone. They really deserve this trip. Any amount that you could contribute would be greatly appreciated!
