The Feral Cats of North House Need Our Help

I'm Linda Barna and this is in regards to a growing feral cat colony in Lincoln, NE. Neighbors feed and shelter the cats outdoors, but we've found too many sick ones. The vet unfortunately had to euthanize two because there was no saving them. Another we found dead in the compost pile. And Animal Control euthanized yet another because it was after vet hours.

 

It's gut wrenching, but it's too big of a problem for my husband Mike and I to fix on our own. It will take a small village to break this cycle.

 

Luckily, we've already got some help! A great group of friends have volunteered to trap, set up appointments, get the cats to the vets, and get them back home. Mike and I will keep them warm in the garage for a few days so they can heal up before being released back into their habitat.

 

The plan is in place. Now we need you! This GoFundMe was created to raise $800 for neutering/spaying and vaccinating approximately 10 adult cats. If you have the ability to donate, we can set this in motion. Any amount will add up. No donation too small. No donation too big. All help is greatly appreciated. Any unused funds will be given to Phoenix Remix to help with future TNR projects.

 

The six adorable kittens seen in the photo are about 6-8 weeks old and too young to spay and neuter. They will need fosters or homes if we can catch them. If you have an interest in taking in any kittens, please contact me.
