THE UNPREDICTED JOURNEY

As an actor living in NYC, the pandemic epicenter of this country, I have witnessed first-hand the impact of COVID-19. I stayed in quarantined for months waiting for Manhattan to reemerge yet sat listening to silent streets. I waited for the news when a friend was hospitalized, and I comforted loved ones when death or permanent ailments occurred as a result of contracting the virus.  COVID-19 has devastated not only our bodies and minds but also our way of life.  It's projected that 12,000 venues will close permanently across the country this year and even Broadway remains dark until September.  Still, within the depths of this unprecedented tragedy the artists rally to raise spirits; not only for its community but for all who have been affected by the pandemic.

During the shutdown of the entertainment industry, I plan to cycle over 3,000 miles from coast to coast.  Starting from the concrete jungle of New York City and ending among the golden tipped mountains of California, I will be connecting with people along the way to hear their stories.  

This is my contribution, my attempt to thread a displaced community back together by bonding us through our fears, our hopes, and our dreams.  The NOMADIC ARTISTS FUND was established and THE UNPREDICTED JOURNEY campaign began.

I hope you will join me, along with my dog Tandy, on this epic undertaking and follow our unpredicted journey across this great country.


NOMADIC ARTISTS FUND

Focused on the health and revitalization of emerging artists, the NOMADIC ARTISTS FUND was created for the future development of new theatrical productions.

Displaced and discouraged; actors, stagehands, designers, and more have all been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Our goal is to provide a beacon of hope to those in need and continue the efforts of bringing new ideas and new opportunities to the arts community.

All funds will go directly to the development of a show from an emerging artist.  These funds will help pay for the cast, crew, and creative team of that project. 

I hope you all will help promote and contribute to the future of the arts and play your part in revitalizing Broadway.
