Help Noellani Represent CT at Future Medical Leaders

My name is Noellani and I am a 17-year-old junior at Crosby High School. I have a dream of becoming a psychologist in my future and helping youth with their mental health and well-being.
A little about me: I am a big sister to two, my brother Chacho and my sister Rosie. I am a student leader with my church, Faith Church in Wolcott, where I lead other youth and serve on the worship team, the cafe, and the children's ministry. At school, I am an honor student maintaining A's and participating in the National Honor Society. For my extra activities, I am captain of the varsity cross country team, coach/mentor for special needs unified sports, Red Cross youth volunteer, and most recently, I have found a newfound love for softball.
My hopes in participating in my community and with other teens are to build experience in leading and giving back to my community in Waterbury and beyond. I find so much joy spending time with my church family serving God and our community. Although I have been very fortunate to participate in all of these things, I am looking to my community to help me achieve my next goal.
This year, I have been nominated as a delegate representing the State of Connecticut at the prestigious Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Boston, Massachusetts. The Congress of Future Medical Leaders is a highly selective national program honoring academically superior high school students dedicated to the service of humanity through medicine.
My participation at the Congress will enrich my academic profile when applying to colleges next year. I will come face to face with Winners of the Nobel Peace Prize, young inventors and scientists, prominent medical school deans, leaders in medicine and medical futurists for three once- in-a-lifetime days of motivation, excitement and education. I will view a live surgery and have the opportunity to submit questions for the surgeon to answer in real time during the procedure. I will be guided by some of the greatest living minds in medicine- men and women who are literally leading humanity into the medical miracles of the 21st century. At the end of the Congress, I will receive the prestigious Future Medical Leaders Award of Excellence. Some honored members of the Congress include Surgeon Generals, Nobel Peace Prize winners, Time Magazine Kid of the Year award winners, and Forbes 30 under 30 winners.
My hope is that my community will help me raise $3000 to pay my tuition and overnight accommodations for the program. These donations will help pay for my travel to Boston, my enrollment and attendance in the congress as well as my meals.
With your support, no matter how big or small, it will go a really long way to getting me closer to realizing my dream.
Thank you so much for your donation and your support!
