Nobody Was Here... The Life of TMNK

From the streets of SOHO New York to the Walls of Wynwood in Miami, the artist TMNK (aka NOBODY) spread his message through street art.  TMNK was a successful corporate executive who longed to pursue his dream of being a global figure in the street art world.  After sacrificing everything and becoming homeless, NOBODY thought he gained the notoriety he sought and longed for, but this was not the dream he had imagined.  NOBODY had an enigmatic and charismatic personality,  but battled personal demons that led to his untimely death.  What he left behind was an amazing legacy of work, mentorship of several artists who have launched successful careers and inspiration for those who dare to dream against seemingly impossible odds.  TMNK, along with several other artists, were responsible for turning an abandoned warehouse neighborhood in Miami into a global art destination.  This documentary began before NOBODY passed and it will continue as we discover the people who help tell his story of heartache, passion and an unparalleled drive to move the world through his art!


Approximately 35% of the film has been shot in Miami with interviews from artists, collectors and friends. The investment you make in this campaign will be used to complete vital interviews, b-roll and art documentation in New York, Germany, Paris and Norway.  Additionally, it will be used to secure local film crews in each city to record interviews of the collectors, collaborators and friends from the early years who knew him best. NOBODY was a very good friend of mine. His story is a fascinating glimpse into someone who willed himself to be successful artist when people told him it could not be done.  He followed his passion no matter the cost.

Making a film is a difficult endeavor - but making a film without funding is nearly impossible!  I say "nearly" impossible because I think of my friend NOBODY who was able to do so much with so little.  His philosophy was "if a NOBODY like me can accomplish something, you can accomplish  everything"!  Your support in bringing his story to the world would help to realize the dream that  NOBODY so deeply desired and would mean everything to me as my final and greatest gesture of friendship to support his work, vision and memory.  Thank you for helping me tell the world that NOBODY WAS HERE!
