Nathan’s Fight Is Our Fight No One Fights Alone!!

Donation protected

My name is Wendy, I married my gift from God, Nathan, on July 15, 2022. On November 23, 2022 we got the diagnosis of cancer.

Nate is an army combat veteran having served many years in the army until he was medically retired. He is now 45 years old also retired from ArDot and now dealing with combat related Stage 4 aggressive Cholangiocarcinoma, he is decades to young to have this type & statistically they never find it til it’s too late We want to encourage other veterans to get checked. If you need information & support we can help you along the way. We believe this is part of our journey.
I want you to get to know the man I have now is the same honorable, selfless, well respected man he was in the army. I know his men, those he trained with fought with would say the same thing about him. His love will never fade for his guys. Veterans please go get checked for GI cancer by oncologist thru CT scans, PET, MRI etc do not rely on blood work

I am including some current & past pics of us, hopefully you can get a pretty great idea of who Nate is and why he is my gift from God and I’ll go to the ends of the earth, I’ll fight whatever I need to fight to help save him.

and hopefully raising some extra funds pay off bills, and fixing up the house sooner than we originally planned. Something more compatible to the new life with our kids and current needs. This was our 2-5 year plan after marriage but now we don’t have the same time frame now.

My husband is in the fight of his life right now & it started officially the day before thanksgiving of last year.

Nate is the absolute love of my life I would love to share with you that story and many more that we have. I will always choose my best friend to be with. He’s plenty entertaining and I love hearing his stories and being sung to all the time.
Pro 31:10-12

I know God is in control and He is working behind the scenes in every instance and to have faith and obey. Matthew 17:20-21

We still need your prayers to God. I know they are working and we thank you. I see prayers being answered thru this journey and give God all the glory. In Him do we trust and thru it all it is well with my soul. I just want to keep my gift for many many many decades. Jas 1:17

Nate had this knack of being so calm during chaos and storms. He keeps me calm and collected when things would overwhelm me. He stayed calm when I was freaking out bitten by a baby copperhead. While screaming & running 80 yards to get to him I knew he would give me medical attention, get to hospital or I would die in his arms 29 days after marrying my love.

He makes me a better person everyday. He has this special way of getting himself spoiled by me daily for many years cause he’s just so sweet and he made me see my worth and that I wasn’t inferior but his equal. He uplifts me all the time and he is so patient when he is teaching something new to someone especially me.

I thank you so much for praying, reading, sharing, donating. I can’t say thank you enough. Check out what Nate has been up to up until he got sick working with making protection dogs for families, cops, military etc.

I quit my career of massage therapist of 22 years to care for him and take care of whatever needs to be done. During my time off I have been approved to be his caregiver which I am grateful for but very limited on being able to bring in enough income til I start getting paid by the VA.

Jeremiah 33:6
We have been to 5 hospitals since November. Hospitals can get super costly staying there for me. I am thankful I had a well paying job doing what I love. They ran every test on him starting with the VA Fayetteville, Ar hospital and came to the conclusion this is more than likely cancer and sent him to another hospital Mercy Ft Smith then made his way to find a specialist at Baptist Health Little Rock for scrubbing and a stent in bile duct. Now it’s time to get to UAMS to see another specialist who treated him at the VA hospital. They took his gallbladder, some positive lymph nodes on the bile duct and then had to abort the hepaticostomy. Soon BHLR will be replacing the temporary stent and putting in a metal stent in bile duct.

We leave for MD Anderson March 12-18. We need extra traveling prayers and that Nate’s immune system stays strong

We will be off in Houston, Texas learning how to kick this cancer’s butt. We will beat this thing by the grace of God.
