Help Nika Get To Thailand!

A year ago I began my transition and it was easily the best decision I've ever made.

Thanks to my family and my community I have been lavished with love and acceptance and now I'm privileged enough to embark on a journey to Thailand to undergo GRS (Gender Reassignment Surgery). While not all trans women feel this is a necessary step, many of us do.

In the simplest terms getting this surgery is going to give me the agency to be seen as any other girl. While I love my transness I am also aware that in this world, the most unsafe are often the ones who stick out the most. This surgery will allow me to keep my voice as a proud trans woman while also allowing me to blend in. Also, I'll  finally be able wear tights as pants without having to tuck, yay!! 

I never thought I'd be doing this so soon but the time is finally approaching and while the surgery will be paid for, I'm trying to get together some last minute travel funds before the big day (May 15!!).

All donations would help me to pay for the flight to Thailand (about $1000), the hotel in which I'll recover for three weeks ($1,078), and lastly any additional medical fees that may come up either in the case of minor complications or the need for a skin graft which will be determined upon arrival ($2,900).

Any amount you can share would be amazing and beyond appreciated. I've never turned to crowdsourcing before but at this point I need as much help as I can get to help me realize a majorly life changing dream.
