Nicole Arena's Cancer "War Chest"

Shout-out!

You may know me from my stomping grounds ... The Red Stable, German Village, Key West or Chicago! 

“My name is Nicole Arena, and I have breast cancer.”  Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever say these words, who does ?? Unfortunately, I do. I’d rather be talking about my art & design work, or taking walks on the beach with my dog Utah, or seeing the latest independent film. Instead, I’m talking about mammograms, biopsies, mastectomy, chemo therapy and radiation treatments :( After my stage 3 diagnosis, my world as I knew it has changed dramatically.
My work load has shrunk while my bills have multiplied and my new health insurance does not cover my medications.  Not being able to work during my 6 month chemo and radiaton schedule has put me in danger of losing my apartment and everything in it while I'm sick.

I am aware that everyone in life has their own struggles. And mine are no more important than yours, however this is a time when I need you the most.
