Nicks Fight To Afford Transportation
Donation protected
Hey everyone, this is pretty important to me, I'm not anybody who's important, to you at least, but my name is Nick Davenport. I'm a 18 year old kid from Detroit, Michigan and I am a freshman in college and I go to college at Grand Valley State University for Computer science. Now, I dont know if you’ll want to or worry enough to read my message, but it would be appreciated. Ill take anything I can get
On November 28th of 2023, my daily car, my 2010 ford escape, slipped on black ice and crashed. I could not afford collision insurance so since then Ive had no car to get to my family and to work. Since being back from winter break, ive had to find a job to make myself some money from basically zero. I got a job at Dicks Sporting Goods in grand rapids but I dont get nearly enough hours to make up for the amount of money I put into using ubers (which is typically 60-70 a day) to get to and from my campus. So subsequently im losing more money than making. I have been unable to afford even a used vehicle for 4500 or less and its getting really hard for me to see my family, find a job where I can actually work, and also maintain happiness and mental stability. As of 10am, January 17th I only have 14 dollars to my name, and with how its looking I wont be able to hold off on rent for my apartment for much longer.
I come to GoFundMe because I know the company and the wonderful people on it have given back to the community for illness, homelessness, disaster relief and so much more. My case is probably not even near as important to others on here, but unfortunately its come to the point I need any help I can get. If there is anyway you could help me out, or help me find someone that would help. It would be greatly appreciated.
I plan on using the funds to purchase a cheap used car in the area so I can get back to my feet, get to my job without having to uber, maybe doordash on the side lol
My number and my email are available as displayed on my page! If you have any questions, comments or concerns im always available. Thank you and I hope youve had a blessed new year.
