Nick Haskell

On 7/17/17, Nick, his mother Catherine, and little sister Natalie's lives, were turned upside down. 16 year old Nick: athlete, Eagle Scout candidate, High School Junior, was hemorrhaging behind his eyes and rapidly losing vision. He has been subsequently diagnosed with a life threatening illness called aplastic anemia. Essentially, his bone marrow, for reasons unknown, has stopped producing life sustaining red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Nick has already endured multiple hospitalizations, procedures and transfusions. His journey will continue with aggressive immunosuppressive therapy. Throughout the course of his diagnosis, and ongoing treatment, expenses are mounting. Day to day bills continue to roll in while Catherine, a single mother, takes leave from her job as an RN for the Mayo Clinic. His immunosuppressive therapy will involve traveling several hours from home, to Stanford, CA and the added expenses this encompasses. Any help is appreciated to help Nick and his family weather this medical, emotional and financial storm. This will likely be a lengthy journey for Nick and his family.
