WHEN YOU ARE IN THE EVENT WORLD, like Nick Pruitt, your first instinct is always to pull together to help the team. Now, those of us in events need to pull together to help Nick Pruitt (one of our own) overcome a month-long hospital stay and coming physical rehabilitation.

Nick started in the warehouse at the ShoWorks in Clearwater, FL, working his way up to a  Warehouse Manager position. 

Nick, 29, IS A HUSBAND, FATHER, SON, BROTHER, and best friend--known for the sweetest smile and the warmest hugs. Nick and his wife, Tori (Evyan Victoria [Atha] Pruitt), have been sweethearts since middle school, but have spent the last six years making a home in Tampa. Not quite two years ago, their son, Levi, was born.

A good provider for his family, Nick had everything going for him, until he was suddenly stricken by a life-threatening genetic condition. A month later, he’s entering a physical rehabilitation facility, and we’re so happy he made it out of the hospital.

But it’s also becoming clear that getting back to where he was will take longer than we might have thought. So, with the deepest gratitude to everyone who helped thus far, we are upping the goal to account for the protracted post-hospital medical costs and loss of wages.

Anyone who has done an event with Nick will tell you he’d rather do anything   than let down his team.
