My son Nicholas is the best example of strength to those who know him. Sweet, kind and caring, the best son and amazing older brother.   At just 13 years of age my son has been diagnosed with Nodular Lymphocytic Hodgkin's Lymphoma and from this day his life and ours has become a constant fight to beat this illness and come out on top.

As a senior in junior high school his plans were to attend prom, his senior trip, graduation and high school.   However, all of those things have been replaced with procedures, surgeries, medications, weekly hospital visits and an intensive chemo regiment.

Nevertheles, Nicholas has taken on this fight in the most honorable way possible.   Since his diagnosis he demonstrated the strength and drive to live each day as if the illness did not exist, with the utmost willingness he has taken on the difficult obstacles that come with lymphoma. Since being diagnosed he has had to put a pause on his life and get used to all the changes that come with this illness including isolation from loved ones and his school.
I have also had to take an unpaid leave of absence from work to fight this battle with my son and as a single mother the worries are mounting. His prognosis is great yet we have a long and very expensive battle ahead of us and since Nicholas' treatments do not fit the length of treatment criteria we do not qualify for most helpful resources or assistance.
With your support we can gather the funds to give Nicholas and our family all the resources to help fight this battle and win! No mother should ever have to watch her child suffer this way and no child should ever have to battle Cancer! I just want to see my baby healthy and back to being strong and as full of life as he was before this nightmare began!
