On Sunday, August 7, I continued on to the Ohio State Fair for the state championship title.
At the state fair I pulled 80 pounds 19 feet 6 inches. Just a few inches shy of second place but this was enough to place third and be invited to the National Pedal Tractor Pull at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota. This will be my sixth time pulling a sled and my very first time at the national championship!
Not only does this trip allow me compete it also provides an important opportunity for me to see one of our most famous National Landmarks-- Mt Rushmore.
Farm life has its ups and downs. This year has been a difficult one for us. The wet spring impacted our hay field. Also, of the 14 little piggies that arrived on our farm in April half were to be taken by a local restaurant in September but that also didn't work out as planned. Needless to say, the extra money we would have to provide for a big trip doesn't exist this year.
Please consider helping me get to South Dakota on September 24. For this is an experience that will be remembered for a lifetime!
If you join my support team, your name will be written on the back of my lucky tractor pulling shirt. At the championship I will wear this shirt and you will help push me across the FULL PULL line!
*I'm only asking for $10 per donor. I hope to reach my goal by receiving support from YOU my amazing family and friends. If you feel the need to donate more than $10, I'd respectfully ask that you instead share and encourage others to be on my support team. Business sponsors welcome.
