Nicholas Pet Haven Shelter & Dog Park
Donation protected

Fourteen year old Nicholas Nash has big dreams of building an animal shelter and dog park in Tyler, TX. Currently, lost dogs that have been picked up by Animal Control within the city limits are transported to a temporary holding facility. Within a matter of days, if the dog is not claimed by its family or by a non-profit animal rescue organization, it will be put to sleep.
Nicholas started the "Lost and Found Cats and Dogs of Tyler, TX" Facebook page in August of 2013 to help reunite families with their lost pets. With the support of the community displayed on the page and the encouragement of his family and new friend and fellow animal lover, John David Carrasco, plans to build the shelter and dog park have quickly developed.
Nicholas's family has donated twenty acres of land to the project between Tyler and Shreveport just off Interstate-20. Nicholas hopes the shelter will be completed in 2014. Hundreds of dogs are killed each year in Tyler and it is his goal to put a stop to this! Please help make his dream come true even faster with your support.
