Born June 11 2014.......it's Nice 2 b Nice!!
Inspired by all the help I received from people on the #Lewiscampaign which raised just short of £3000 (full story on https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=699717623397130&substory_index=0&id=696712807030945 ) I'm wanting to continue the good work by setting up what is now called "Nice 2 b Nice" and doing for others what they did for me.
What is 'Nice 2 b Nice'?......
Nice 2 b Nice has been set up to support disadvantaged adults and children in need of financial support with self-fundraising; It aims to donate money to those self-fundraising for whatever reason as well as creating awareness and through its 'Surprise Days' help raise a few smiles along the way!
The areas I will concentrate on are:
Fundraising:
Money will be raised through sponsored events, business sponsorship and private donations either individually or through outside help - All funds raised are spent directly on those that need them with nothing spent to keep 'Nice 2 b Nice' running or expenses paid to those that manage it (me) - 100% of the money raised is spent on helping the many great causes we have in the area (Hull & surrounding areas) with a detailed log through social media sites, funding website and personal documentation of all monies coming in and out should they be required by any governing body or authorised person.

Financial support for adults & children in need:
Nice 2 b Nice has been set up to offer financial support to those that need it, be it for specialist equipment or to support families facing hard times through ill health or poverty. Each case will vary however for those self fundraising money will be donated or equipment purchased along with gifts/surprises for the individual/group intended.

Surprise days:
A popular side of the work done at Nice 2 b Nice are my 'Surprise Days' - Surprise days are for individual/groups that are facing hard times be it through ill health or just because they need cheering up - The purpose of a surprise day is to give the recipient the opportunity to forget, even just for a day, what experience they're going through and give them a day to remember and raise a smile.

So what next?......
In all honesty, I don't know! Since setting up in June 2014 I've had the pleasure and honour of meeting some truly inspirational people and even winning the annual Viking FM award for Yorkshire & N-Lincolnshire (Neighbourhood & Community award) however what I don't want is for things to get complicated so my personal mission is to raise £5000 a year donating every penny to the many great causes in the area and creating as much awareness as possible. I've set myself a life-time target to raise £100k so once I've done that we'll see what happens!
