Nicaragua 2017 Mission Trip

2017 - Return Trip to Nicaragua & 1st for Gwenn!

Dear Friends & Family,

Grant, Gwenn, and I are traveling to Nueva Vida, Nicaragua to serve with Faithful Stewards, April 7th-15th, 2017.  (First year with Gwenn, and first year Grace will NOT be with us as she travels to Mexico with Rollling Hills Christian Chruch for their Spring Break High School Mission Trip!)

As we prepare for our 4th trip, we recognize this is turning this into one of our families annual serving goals and is not possible with out the prayers, support, and contributions by many of you.  

You may know, Faithful Stewards is a non-profit organization based out of El Dorado Hills, CA.  Faithful Stewards serves those in need in their local community, as well as internationally in Nicaragua. Through this trip, we hope to impact the lives of children and their families who have been forced to survive with minimal food, shelter, or care.

REASONS FOR GOING:

Grant - "These people have so little but they would give you everything they have.  It has changed my life and I hope to always finds ways to give back like this."

Gwenn - "This will be my first time so I'm not sure what to expect.  I'm nervous about some things but know I will love playing with and helping the little kids in the village."

Jenn - "Serving where you are is as important as serving outside of your comfort zone but what tugs at the core of my heart, is the lack of material things these people have and / need.  Yet they are grateful for the simple things and look for ways to serve us!  They have become an extended family."

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

1. PRAY FOR US: All prayers before, during, and after are appreciated! Our first trip, we had several earthquakes to navigate and through prayers, we remained safe while still being able to serve! We know God will watch over us and do many great things.

2. DONATE TOWARD EXPENSES: We are working to raise just over $5,000 between the three of us. We will use this money to cover our travel expenses as well as to pay for some of the donations we will contribute to the community. ALL CONTRIBUTIONS will receive a tax deductible receipt.
