Mission Trip to Nicaragua for Spring Break

Hi, my name is Tyler Swisher and I've been blessed with the opportunity to go to Nicaragua during my spring break, where I will get to live in a Nicaraguan household, spend time with the community and be immersed in the culture. I will also get the chance to serve and do mission work for La Finca, the international Young Life camp in the mountains of Matagalpa, Nicaragua, a camp that has made its mission to bring marginalized youth to camp for the best week of their life, and to learn about and fully experience the love of Christ.

This amazing opportunity has given me the chance to serve the Lord in so many ways, and to dive much deeper in my own faith and relationship with God. Better yet, I get to do all of this with some great friends from UNC! Any donations and gifts are welcomed, and if you cannot give anything, all I ask for is prayers for safe travels and that the Lord is working through me during my time in Nicaragua to spread His Word and the love of God in any way that I am able. Another quick note about the donations: These funds are used to pay for the flight to and from Nicaragua, as well as the costs of lodging, food, transportation, a tourist visa and local ministry. Additionally, any donations that exceed the amount that I need for the mission trip will be donated to the NC Study Center, a center for Christian life, community and thought in Chapel Hill that has been the mode through which this mission trip is made possible.
