Nia McElroy Fund
Donation protected
On April 11, 2016, Nia McElroy was rushed to the hospital for emergency, lifesaving surgery after suffering a massive stroke. After a week of uncertainty, Nia’s condition stabilized, but this is just the beginning of her recovery. Currently, Nia is under the care of Rush hospital staff and, eventually, she will transfer to a rehabilitation center for intensive therapy. While Nia is in the hospital, her daughter, Jayla, is being looked after by friends and family.
For those of you who have had the privilege of meeting Nia, you already know how amazing she is: generous, outgoing, and always willing to extend a helping hand with a smile on her face. She loves spending time with her daughter, friends, and family, and especially enjoys cooking a good meal for her loved ones. Nia got her degree in social work and chose to devote her life to helping individuals with disabilities. She began at CTF ILLINOIS in 2011, and her hard work and dedication as a case manager led quickly to her promotion as an administrator. Nia has dedicated her life to helping those in need, and now it is time for us to return the favor.
Even with insurance coverage, Nia’s out of pocket costs are already starting to mount. Between medical costs and providing for her daughter, Nia is in dire need of financial assistance. Anything people can donate will be of great help and of deepest appreciation. Please, if you can, consider helping someone who has readily helped so many others by donating to Nia and her family.
