Newcomer Academy works hard to serve the academic and social needs of 6th-10th grade English Language Learners.  We currently have 688 students enrolled.  Our students are typically in their first year of instruction in a US school.  The current pandemic has presented obstacles for these students while they are still adjusting to a new environment.  We are working to do what we can to help them along.

A project has been started to sew 2 masks for each of our students.  One will be mailed to them now with a message explaining the importance of wearing the mask.  The second will be given to students to wear once we return to the school building.  

Each mask will cost approximately $5 to make and mail.  This expense is not in our school budget so we are asking for your help.  We are also taking donations of supplies needed for this project - cotton fabric, elastic, thread, and shoelaces.
