Neuroblastoma

Marq is 8 years old and has stage 4 cancer. He just finished 5 rounds of chemotherapy, but the treatment was not effective to get him cancer free enough to get him to a double stem cell transplant. Marq was entered for a medical study but was not accepted, since the process is completely random. We are hoping to get him into a refractory study. Neuroblastoma is very rare and especially rare in children over 2 years old. Since his diagnosis, I have had to resign my full time job to help him get well again. He has 5 other siblings, the youngest being 6 months old. Resources are limited due to no longer working.
Marq is outgoing and very kind, and has a big heart. He is always thinking of others and even trying to give his toys away to other kids on the hospital floor. He often talks about what he wants to be when he grows up, and he talks about helping the homeless and people who are sick. It is heart breaking to watch him suffer and not be able to help, and to know that the resources are not there to give him every possible chance that he deserves.
He is now receiving antibody therapy, but this only works about half of the time. Our hope is to get him MIBG therapy which will hopefully keep the cancer from returning if we are able to get him in to remission. We hope to raise enough money to get him this life saving therapy.
Please help if you are able; Marq is one of those people who is so kind and compassionate and generous, and I am very proud of him. I desperately want to see him grow into adulthood and I can't wait to see how he changes the world. We appreciate any help we can get for Marq.
