On August 23, my greatest fear came to life. My beautiful children Ashlynn Nelson (15), and Nicholas Nelson (16) , were stolen from me. They were tragically shot and killed inside my home, the one place I felt I could always protect them from the dangers of our world.
They were amazing.
They were intelligent.
They were true gifts from God.
Now I have reached a crossroad in my life just wondering, "What I can do to move my life and my family's life forward after losing two lives I would do anything in the world for?"
I want to say thank you for your overwhelming love, support, and prayers during this tragic time. I just want to do everything I can do to adjust to a new normal of not having two beautiful souls with me daily. It is my prayer moving forward we're able to do all we can do to prevent another family from experiencing the pain and bloodshed we've had to experience.
At this time our family would love to see Ashlynn and Nicholas receive a beautiful farewell that they deserve. As a single mother, I need any financial assistance possible to see they have the proper funeral, the adequate funding to get out of the place we called home, and other expenses to assist with our new journey of healing.
