The Nelson Schmidt Family is in need of your love, care, prayers and support. Their loss is deep and wide and spans more than words could ever summarize or tell. Their sadness is a reflection of the deep, deep love they had and have for their husband and father, son, brother, and friend. It has been said that “grief is love in its most wild form.” Thank you for coming alongside each family member during this difficult time. Thank you for being advocates to the Throne of Grace and for surrounding them with the warmth and power of prayer and the patience of a listening ear. Those are ever important and impactful well into eternity; where Nelson now resides with his Savior, Jesus.
To try to write the full impact of his life is impossible. Nelson was a loving father and husband who had a passion for creativity, helping others, and serving his family and the Lord. He carried much on this earth. He leaves his special wife, Robin, and seven beautiful children--- Sophia, Belle, Mason, Audrey, Nelson Jr., Harrison, and Abigail.
If you feel so led to help the family financially during this time, we would be ever grateful. We are raising funds for the following needs: funeral expenses, moving expenses, housing costs, and income replacement during this time of transition.
There will be two ways for people to donate. 1. Online giving to this GoFundMe account. 2. Checks made payable to the "Nelson Schmidt Benefit Account" mailed to MidWestOne Bank, 750 Central Ave E, Suite #100, St. Michael, MN 55376. Philip Schmidt, Nelson’s brother, will be helping Robin administer these accounts.
