Nephtaly Torres is an 18 year old Senior at Leto High School. Sadly, his mother Carolina Mejia passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning., October 6, 2019.
Nephy is heartbroken as his mother was his world. The next couple days will be difficult as he says his final goodbye to the woman who became both his mom and dad.
The upcoming weeks and months will be crucial. It will present many challenges from a financial standpoint. His health requires special medical attention. Although he was born with cerebral palsy, he has exceeded the doctors expectations. He is a fighter and continues to defy the odds. Recently, Nephy underwent major surgery and will need intensive physical therapy along with some medical equipment that is needed for his day to day usage.
LSA Breakout, the youth ministry of La Senda Antigua church in Tampa, FL. have decided to create this Go Fund Me account. The goal is to raise funds that will help Nephy with medical expenses the family will have to incur. Your generous donation of any amount will tremendously help this cause. Ninoska Mejia, Nephy’s aunt and Carolina’s sister is the one who is administrating and stewarding the funds that are received via Go Fund Me for her nephew.
Carolina Mejia was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and a friend. The memories they shared together will never be forgotten.
