For Kalei: A Future Without Her Father, Nathaniel Hopper

First, I would like to introduce myself as the organizer to all of those interested in donating. My name is Kate Hopper. I am Nathaniel Hopper’s younger sister and an aunt to his daughter, Kalei Hopper. This campaign is being created to support Kalei following her fathers sudden and heartbreaking passing on July 10th at the young age of 23.

Nathaniel was a son, a brother, a father, and a friend to so many who he is greatly loved and cared for by. We are so lucky to have such amazing people by his side, as well as our family’s in this difficult time. Many people have asked how they can help. We have had an overwhelming amount of people asking to help out with funeral funding and as his family, we are so beyond grateful to have such offers. We have been greatly blessed to have received enough funds to help cover funeral expenses.

Nathaniel leaves behind a daughter, Kalei Nicole Hopper, who will be celebrating her first birthday on July 27th. The funds raised through this effort will be allocated towards a trust for Kalei’s future needs and any unexpected events and expenses that may arise related to Nathaniel’s untimely death. No child should have to endure this pain, and we want to do everything we can to provide her with the stability, love, and security Nathaniel so strongly wanted for her.

With his passing, Kalei and her mother are currently living with Nathaniel’s family. As the family grieves and adjusts to this heartbreaking reality, we want to ensure Kalei’s needs are met.
