Our sweet friend Natalie could really use our love and support ❤️

What started as a sore throat and fever turned into days of unbearable illness and multiple ER visits. Doctors finally discovered the cause: a ruptured esophagus - a rare and extremely dangerous condition. By the time it was caught, Natalie’s fever was 104° and her body was battling a severe infection.

She was life-flighted from Carroll, IA to Bergan Mercy in Omaha, where she is now in the ICU under the care of an incredible medical team. Right now, doctors are focused on controlling the infection before they can move forward with surgery.

Natalie’s journey ahead will be long, uncertain, and full of challenges - but she is a fighter. And she is not fighting for herself alone. She is also a devoted mom to Paisley and Nash, who need their mom healthy and home with them.

Because Natalie is self-employed as a hairstylist, she has no paid sick leave or backup income during this time. The financial stress of medical bills and everyday living expenses, on top of the emotional weight of being in the ICU, is more than anyone should have to carry.

We are asking for support to help Natalie and her children. Your support will help with medical bills, rent, utilities, recovery expenses and groceries while she cannot work, as she has a long recovery ahead.

Natalie has always been someone who brings joy to others with her kindness and incredible talent and a hairstylist. Now it’s our turn to surround her with that same love and care.
