Please help Nancy in Thomson GA after Hurricane Helene

We are Joe & Bobbye Dowda, and we live in Somerville, Texas. We're trying to raise much needed funds for our senior, disabled, and single sister. Her name is Nancy Lorraine Dowda Hasley, but we've always called her Rayne.

Her home in Thomson GA was hit by a Hurricane Helene spinoff tornado this past Saturday night. It's frightening to think she was inside alone as one side of the house was crushed by a massive old tree bringing others down with it.

This summer she lost her leg from cancer radiation damage, which was treatment she received decades ago. She has suffered with it all these years, and it recently turned gangrenous, and sepsis quickly occurred. Tragically, the doctors had to remove her leg to save her life.

Since then, she's been unable to work (she's always worked!!) and has no resources to call on. Due to that medical hardship, she is without home insurance. And now, this disastrous act of God has rained down on her.

Please help us raise the money she must have to modestly put back together her family's longtime home in Thomson GA. This is the house she and brother Joe spent happy years with parents Agnes & Robert Dowda. If we could raise enough for that purpose, we're praying there would be a little left over to pay some bills which have piled up since her amputation surgery.

Pleading on her behalf because she won't for herself. We all need help from each other and this is Nancy's turn. Thank you.
