On August 17th, 2016, our lives were flipped upside down. Nadine Estes- Goldman, loving mother of two, wife of Harry, and beloved friend- was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Nadine has a medium/large tumor in her breast, as well as 3 infected lymph nodes. She will begin surgery on Sept. 8th to remove the mass as well as the 3 lymph nodes. Following this surgery, she will be going through a long and rigorous year of chemotherapy and radiation.
The purpose of this page is three fold:
At face value, we plan to raise money to help cover all of the extras that insurance will not cover. "Cancer Superlatives" if you will. For example- Wigs, Headwear, Scarves, Chemo Quilts, OTC Medication, Flowers, and other care packages to help ensure a positive attitude and happiness throughout this hard time.
Additionally, we feel that this is an excellent way for Nadine to feel the love from all of her friends and family. This can be used as an easy medium to show her that we are all here for her. Every donation counts, even as a token of love; therefore, we encourage you to leave your name so she knows you are by her side!
Lastly, this can be used as a platform to keep friends and family up to date with what is going on through out the entire process.
As many of you know, Nadine and Harry have moved to Boston due to job relocation, and have left many of their friends and family behind. However, this is where she believes in the power of B'Sheret. Loosely translated as: "everything happens for a reason".
Because of the move to Boston, Nadine is able to receive world-class treatment from one of the top Breast Cancer treatment centers in the world at the University of Massachusetts. Knowing this helped her to find her "reason" for being in Boston, and why this might be happening at this point in time.
Our main goal is to show Nadine that she has a community of support no matter where she is in the world; To show her that we are all here for her through every step of the journey. We all know how important it is to keep a positive attitude through out the entire process. We hope that by showering her with love and providing another outlet of support for her, that we can bring out that contagious smile we all know and love, and keep her fighting strong!
