Since the age of two, dance has been Nadia’s world. It’s where she shines, grows, and dreams bigger every day, pouring her heart into every move, leap, and routine. Watching her passion for dance grow has been an incredible journey, and we are so proud of everything she continues to accomplish.
A Second Year on Team Canada!
We are incredibly proud to share that Nadia has been selected to represent Canada for a second consecutive year as a member of World Performers Canada’s National Dance Team, competing at the 2027 Dance World Cup in Lisbon, Portugal, from June 29 to July 9, 2027!
In July 2026, Nadia travelled to Dublin, Ireland, for her first Dance World Cup, where her team earned bronze in jazz at the World Finals. She also had the opportunity to learn from international choreographers through masterclasses, making the experience an unforgettable milestone in her dance journey.
This year brings even more exciting news!
Along with her return to Team Canada, Nadia has been selected for jazz, contemporary, and lyrical groups, as well as a special duet and a solo opportunity on the world stage.
Only a limited number of dancers are selected from within World Performers Canada for these special solo and duet placements. Choreographers and World Performers Canada faculty observe dancers during choreography sessions before making their selections, making these opportunities especially meaningful.
At just 12 years old, Nadia is incredibly grateful for these opportunities and excited to take on this next challenge.
Since August, she has been travelling to Edmonton monthly to learn choreography alongside talented dancers from Saskatchewan and Alberta as the team prepares for Portugal.
Nadia’s Dance Journey
Nadia’s love for dance began at just two years old, inspired by watching her big sister dance. She started her journey at Performing Arts Warehouse in Prince Albert before continuing her training at Dancer’s Edge after her family moved to Warman, where she spent five years growing as a dancer. Today, she trains with Rise Dance Company in Saskatoon, continuing to develop her skills in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, hip hop, and acro.
Nadia is also returning for her second year with The Doghouse, Saskatoon’s elite competitive hip hop crew. Each of these experiences has helped shape her as a performer and fuel her dream of one day becoming a professional dancer.
Help Make This Dream Possible
The Dance World Cup is an international competition that brings together more than 10,000 dancers from over 60 countries each year. Being selected to compete on this global stage is an incredible opportunity for Nadia to learn, grow, and perform alongside dancers from around the world.
Participation on the National Team is self-funded, and the costs add up quickly. Our estimated total cost for Nadia’s 2027 journey is approximately $17,000, including flights, accommodations, meals, transportation, choreography fees, costumes, competition expenses, required accompanying-adult travel, and monthly trips to Edmonton for team training.
This GoFundMe has been created to help ease the financial burden and make it possible for Nadia to attend the 2027 Dance World Cup in Portugal.
Every donation, no matter the amount, brings Nadia one step closer to this dream.
Sharing this page with friends, family, and your community is also a meaningful way to support her. We are actively welcoming local business and corporate sponsors, with sponsorship opportunities and business recognition available.
