Nadia & Liam's RSV Fight & Recovery

My cousin Danielle's story:

As I sit here hour after hour and day after day, so many emotions, thoughts, memories,go through my mind like a train. I havnt seen my babies eyes,or there smile,or heard there voice,or held them,or feed them,or played with them,or changed a diaper since Friday night. I keep saying this is a BAD DREAM, but in reality it is not. I am so confused, sad, and angry at the babies pediatrician, who sent me home after the SICK visit I scheduled Saturday morning, (its nothing more then a cold, you can get through this at home with Tylenol)!!!!!!! My mother instincts kicked in, and went to the ER that SAME afternoon, and we have not left the hospital scene since. Nadia had a 105.9 fever on arrival, she was blue, and NOT breathing. She was flight transported to the Children's hospital in Hartford. Meanwhile, the dozens of nurses and doctors at Day Kimball ER was keeping me as calm as can be for LIAM, who was not much better. I had to stay there and try to be strong while waiting for a ambulance from the children's hospital in Hartford to take Liam to the same PICU. I am appreciative for the love and support of my family and friends. I am so drained and scared, my little babies are fighting for their lives. Thankyou to all for the prayers, and help, the hours of being by my side. They are both critical with no changes..

Danielle is a single mother of six children. Two adult daughters, a twelve year old daughter Chanel, a two year old son Lennox and newborn premature twins, Nadia and Liam. Danielle has been at Connecticut Childrens Hospital living the worst nightmare a mother could face. Both her infant twins Nadia & Liam are in critical condition suffering from RSV. A respiatory syncytial virus that is very common and contagious and in this case life threatening. It has infected both twins.

Nadia was air lifted from Day Kimball Hospital in Connecticut when she died being carried into Day Kimball for a sick visit. After the doctor and nurses revived her and had her air lifted to Connecticuts Childrens hospital, Liam took a turn for the worst. Danielle and Liam were transported to Connecticut Childrens Hospital by ambulance soon later.

Nadia received a V_V_EMCO. She survived her surgery and is now in stable condition. Liam is still fighting and pulling through stronger and stronger everyday.

Danielle does not have reliable transportation or income. Im hoping to raise funds for her to be able to get back and forth to her other younger children and be able to have funds for child care for the other children while she is caring for her twins in the NICU. Nadia's recovery will take months. She is currently without personal belongings, money for food or transportation.
Please consider lending a helping hand to a single mother in need at the worst possible time in her life. Thank You
