Tuition for NYLF: National Security

My name is Muhammad Basil and I am a twelfth grader at Bronx Lab School. I was born in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, but moved to the United States in 2014. Ever since I immigrated here, I have worked hard to achieve my goal of joining the Army or Marines and attending college. For the past two years, I have been an honor roll student and, this year, I am working as a peer leader, mentoring freshmen students. 

My principal, Sarah Marcy, has nominated me to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): National Security -- Diplomacy, Intelligence, and Defense.  The organizer's website describes the conference as "a six-day program that prepares high school students for careers in defense, intelligence, and the diplomatic corps."  I will be able to meet military and national security officials and see military sites in Washington D.C.

I have applied for financial aid from the program, but they say their funds are limited. So, I am trying to ask for your help!

Your donations would pay for my tuition for the six-day conference ($1,895) and transportation to and from and around Washington D. C. (approximately $40 - $60).

Attending this conference means a lot to me because I am very interested in serving in the US military and I want to learn everything I can about it.
