My name is Michael Gottesman. I am a retired attorney and the founder of the "New Jersey Public Education Coalition."

Our schools, school boards and school board elections are under attack by "Radical Right Extremists" attempting to take control of our public school and school boards in their drive to eliminate "diversity and inclusion" from our curriculum. Their goal is to inject a "whitewashed" history curriculum, hatred, racism, homo/transphobia, intolerance and divisiveness into our schools.

They are using misinformation, fear and intimation to reach their goal.

Our goal is to preserve diversity and inclusion in our schools and to ensure that "every" child has a safe and inviting place to learn, free from harassment, intimidation an bullying.

Who is there to stop them? Parents and advocates with little power, money or influence, but a strong desire to preserve the independence and nonpartisan nature of our school boards and public school system.

The Coalition is here to level the "playing field" by providing a representative communication network that keeps parents advised of the tactics used by the Radical Right. We also offer educational "roadshows" and materials so that parents and advocates have the means to debunk the arguments and

misinformation being spouted by the opposition.

The opposition's ultimate goal is to de-fund our public schools or inject their "theocratic precepts" to turn our public schools into "religious institutions of indoctrination," all in contravention of the Constitutional requirement of

separation of church and state. Their actions are in clear violation of the "Establishment" clause.
