NIDA Student Mardi Gras Float
Donation protected
As a team of 6 students from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA), Sydney, we are aiming to raise funds on behalf of our university student body to create NIDA's inaugural Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras float/display. We hope to march along Oxford Street with pride and joy, a symbol of inclusiveness, equity and love.
It is an exciting opportunity for the NIDA community to celebrate one year of marriage equality, which will also coincide with our 60th anniversary as an institution.
We are wanting to support and encourage our storytellers of the future, who are helping to pave the way to a more inclusive and representative creative arts society in Sydney. We are passionate about presenting all diversities, not only just LGBTQIA+, and believe we have the skill and insight to pay justice to these stories.
Funds raised will be utilised by us to source materials, construct the display and costume our dazzling and proud 80 student participants.
This is such a special and touching opportunity for the dynamic NIDA community to be apart of and rejoice in. With continual support, we hope to establish this as a legacy for the future.
Every story, every individual, is equally important to us.
