The Doctors’ Association UK is a strictly non-profit organisation led by volunteer doctors who all work on the NHS frontline.
Our team have worked tirelessly in their free time alongside their NHS roles to fight for frontline healthcare workers and the NHS during the COVID-19 crisis. Now we desperately need your help to further our organisation and ensure we can adequately safeguard NHS workers who are putting their lives on the line every day they turn up for work.
Will you help us protect our hard working NHS staff?
As the voice of frontline doctors we were the first to warn that the NHS was not ‘well prepared’ for the COVID crisis.
Our NHS doctors, who all currently work for free for DAUK, have provided a calm and consistent media presence throughout this crisis, ensuring that our profession is advocated for as well ensuring the general public are aware of the state of the NHS. We have worked non-stop to deliver PPE to the frontlines where it is needed most.
With your help we have been able to improve the lives of working doctors during this crisis. We have also successfully lobbied for a number of protections for the the families of doctors who have tragically lost their lives to COVID-19. This has included:
-securing compensation for the families of doctors who die in the line of duty of COVID-10
-ensuring dependents of doctors on visas who die are given indefinite leave to remain
-successfully lobbying for the unfair Immigration Health Surcharge to be scrapped
-lobbying tirelessly for testing of frontline staff which has now been rolled out following our efforts
PPE has remained our key concern. We have lobbied on this consistently from the start of the crisis when other organisations remained silent. Our Protect the Frontline campaign has received international attention and has helped us get PPE to where it is needed most.
With your help we have launched legal action against the government regarding healthcare worker deaths and a lack of PPE.
We are also calling for a coroner’s inquest into each and every healthcare worker death as well as a public inquiry into the government’s failure to provide PPE.
We are also working with others to help ensure donations of PPE reach the frontline and have helped to supply 45,000 masks as well as 500 gowns in the past week.
So far we have done this all for free, calling in every favour and working until the early hours every morning on top of our full time roles in the NHS. But now we desperately need support to take our campaigns to the next level and ensure that doctors receive justice.

£3000 will help us build a new identity and website, integrating a membership platform on our website allowing members to take collective action to further our cause
£5000 will help us purchase a powerful campaigning platform for a year which will allow us to contact MPs directly and hold briefings about lack of PPE and other issues affecting doctors and the NHS
£15000 will help us employ a member of staff allowing us to call MPs, other medical organisations and other stakeholders to back our campaigns and secure important victories for doctors and the NHS
£25000 will help us establish a press office ensuring that we are able to take up every media opportunity to lobby for more PPE, for doctors and the NHS. With your help we will be able to hire someone who has been made redundant due to COVID or self-employed without work
£50000 will support us in engaging solicitors to give us advice on securing a full public inquiry into lack of PPE and healthcare workers death, other potential legal challenges, as well as a potential judicial reviews in the future on a number of issues
