HOPE FOR THE FUTURE. ANOTHER STEM CELL AND FUTURE THERAPYS
Donation protected
We are Jay and Christy Rector. We began caring for our son, Beckett James, when he was 9 weeks old. At 6 weeks, Beckett was severely shaken by a caregiver. He is a survivor of Shaken Baby Syndrome and has been diagnosed with multiple medical conditions, including Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy. Beckett is legally blind and deaf, which means he can hear and see, but it's uncertain if he can process sounds or images. Approximately 90% of his brain is damaged. We adopted Beckett on November 10, 2019. Beckett has undergone Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, which has significantly improved his physical abilities, such as his core strength, enabling him to sit up independently. He has received three stem cell treatments in Monterrey, Mexico, at the Hematology Host Clinic. These treatments have led to remarkable reductions in Beckett's seizures and other cognitive enhancements. We notice some form of improvement with each treatment. Many of these advancements are subtle, yet they continue to astonish us. Beckett is a true fighter with an incredible will to live. Donations will contribute to his fourth treatment. The average cost of treatment is about $15,000, which includes airfare, food, and the treatment itself. We deeply appreciate you taking the time to read our story and are grateful for your kindness. Thank you. Jay, Christy, and Beckett
