My name is Patrina Walker and in October 2008 I was blessed to receive a kidney from my sister. I found out that over the years of taking Nsaids (ie., ibuprofen, advil) that my kidneys were allergic to these medications and were slowly fighting the reactions on their own, to the point to where the filters in my kidneys could no longer fight. I was also diagnoised with FSGS Kidney Disease (Focal Segemental Glomerulosclerosis), which doesn't allow the filters in my kidneys to filter my blood properly. Since the transplant, I've had difficultly with my immune system and frequent UTIs. My job of 16 years also ended which has lead me to seek other employment. The problem with that is that my immune system doesn't allow me to make it pass my 90 day evaluation before I'm either sick or hospitalized with an infection of some sort. I'm asking for assistance because my husband is handling everything and even though I've applied for disability, it hasn't come through and bills are beginning to pile up. If you choose to donate, the money will be used to assist with paying for my rejection medications, along with my medicare health insurance and to catch us up on utilities, car payments, rent, groceries and car insurances. Anything and everything is greatly appreciated and I can tell you, myself and my husband will definitely pay it forward!! The funds are needed as soon as possible to keep from risking disconnecctions and fees that go along with them.
Thank you in advance,
Patrina
