Myles's Medical Fund

In our community, everyone knows and loves Myles Howard. Myles has never met a person he doesn’t love. He doesn’t care bout your looks, social status, gender, race or anything else. He simply loves everyone unconditionally. Our world would be a better place if everyone had a heart as tender as Myles'.

Friday, Myles left school with a fever. Within 48 hours he was fighting for his life. With a starting diagnosis of pneumonia, Myles has been moved to different hospitals, transported numerous ways,
and has tried inumerable different machines and treatments to keep him alive.
After being sent home Friday night,  Myles was brought back to the hospital Saturday and moved immediately into the ICU in critical conditon. His breathing became labored and he had to be sedated and intubated so that he could rest and and let the antiboitics work. His oxygen levels and blood pressure dropped severely, and the situation became even worse. Although his heart stopped, the doctors were able to revive him.
He is now in a bed called the "Rotoprone" which will- hopefully- allow the pneumonia to move and allow his lungs to expand more fully. In the Rotoprone, Myles is secured with straps and cushions while the bed periodically rotates to face downward. Sadly, after a couple of hours in the new bed, his kidneys started to fail which required him to be  put on a dialysis to clean his blood and allow the fluids to continue moving. Although the docotors are trying every method to help Myles get better, his condition remains unstable. Myles was airlifted to Egleston Monday night to be seen and monitored by a cardio specialist (a necessity due to his previous cardiac conditions). Myles is showing small signs of improvement, but is still a very, very sick boy.

Mr. Neal and Mrs. Paula are by his side at the hospital, unable to work,  as hospital bills continue to rack up. We need to help the Howards immediately! Let's show Myles how much we love him and appreciate his sunshine by helping his family through this difficult time.
