The hardest two weeks of our lives. My amazing Mummy was diagnosed with late stage, aggressive lung cancer with spread to breast, hip, nodes, skull, hand, brain and now the fluid of her brain.
Since being a kid, and learning about death, this has been my worst nightmare. I can’t believe this is happening.
Our hearts have been absolutely shattered into a million pieces and I think I’ve cried more tears in two weeks than I have in a lifetime.
After a seizure last week, she’s been in the hospital trying to get on top of pain and nausea. My poor mum has been in agony and it has been the most horrific thing to witness. I’ve stayed over with her in the hospital every night and seen the despair she’s in. Also seeing the pain my dad and brothers and sister are carrying is devastating.
I’ve screamed and begged god and the universe and anyone who will listen to please help her. I don’t know how I would be able to live without her. It’s agony, it’s sleepless nights, it’s my body going into shock and shaking relentlessly, even in my sleep. I can’t accept it. I won’t.
She has seen three of her children go through cancer and now she has to do it too. It’s not fair!!!!!!! I hate it so much.
At the moment, they are only treating one spot on her head to ease the pain and then we’ll go from there. She has no genetic mutations which could’ve meant she would be able to have immunotherapy which is shit.
We’re going to the Christie to ask about trials, options etc but she currently has the most amazing team here in Preston.
Some of you know when I was diagnosed with incurable breast cancer in 2018, I turned to alternative therapies alongside chemo etc. and I am now doing the same for our wonderful, magical Mamma.
There is so much hope out there and many options if chemo isn’t available and while there is air in her lungs, I will fight with every single part of me to keep her in the world for a long time.
I have absolutely no shame in doing this -I’m creating a GoFundMe page to help raise money to help towards remedies, protocols, and the dream - oxygen therapy for home.
I need my mummy, I won’t give up and I would be more grateful than you could ever know if you could help donate or fundraise for my Maggie P. Family, friends, strangers, we're desperate!
Please share far and wide, have a bake sale, donate a prize, do a sponsored walk! I will share the results and the wins as we go!!!!!!
Thank you so so much from the bottom of my absolutely broken heart.
Our kids don't know so if anyone speaks to them, please don't mention this. We've given them a brief idea but not the extent!
