Beginning My Journey at Goucher

Wow. It has been a long hard journey and I am so excited to take this next step. For the past four years, I've had the oppurtunity to work in order to make a better Baltimore for both young and old(er) people.
The Baltimore Intersection is a non-profit that empowers high school student, like myself, to advocate on behalf of our families, schools, and communities to make change in our enviorments and in ourselves. With The Intersection, my peers, and other organizations I advocated on behalf of my undocumented friends, neighbors, and fellow citizen in the fight to pass the DREAM Act in 2013, we fought to further regulate guns with the Fire Arm Saftey Act, and I've been able to empower young people, parents, and teachers all over the country and most recently in Mumbai, India, with my story.
I've been able to grow in ways that wouldn't be possible without my community and I take pride in my city and in the community that I've been able to cultivate there. So many people have invested in my future so that it can be bright and I am exicted for the next big investment.
In the fall I want to attend Goucher College. To me Goucher is the perfect school. The student body is politically active, they have amazing speakers (like the central park five), and they show an organic commitment to the growth of each individual student. So many amazing Baltimoreans have gone to Goucher and I am excited to join the list. However, this won't be possible without your help. Unfourtunatly because of my finacial situation my family isn't able to contribute. I've been given tuition and now I am asking that you all boost me up as you've always done, in this first step into the world. Anything that you give is helpful. Hopefully I'll write you in 4 years as Goucher Alum class of 2019.
