My Cancer Fund

On June 23rd I went into the Emergency Room thinking I was having an appedicitus attack. It turned out I was passing a kidney stone. During the CT to find the kidney stone, they found a mass in my uterus. During the upper CT scan they found nodules in my lungs.

The mass turned out to be endometrial adenocarcinoma. I will have to have a complete hysterectomy, including pelvic lymph nodes.

The PET scan on my lungs found suspicious activity in my lungs that could be lung cancer AND a suspicious mass in my colon which could be more cancer, possibly metastisized from the uterus, or visa versa.

I have no PTO left for time off for this. My plan year began July 1st and so I need to meet my deductible and my out of pocket maximum.  I live with & help support my youngest son, his fiance & their daughter.

So this amount is $5500 for my deductible (my company funds $800 of my $2600 deductble at this point in time, and would fund another $800 in January, but all of this will hit long before January) and OOP Max (my out of pocket maximum is $6,350) and for 2 months of income so that I can take the time off for the surgery(ies) and recovery(ies), and possibly for radiation and/or chemotherapy depending on what they find in my colon/lungs.
