Campus Bookstore vs The People.

Razor blades, printer ink, luggage fees, just some of life’s biggest rip-offs, none bigger than buying college textbooks. Sound all too familiar? It was for me too. My name is Gabriel Cornejo; I started a company called MyBeeble (MyBeeble.com). I have created a FREE mobile App that is giving everyone the POWER over the Campus Bookstore. Power to find the lowest price out there. Through a simple design, Price Compare all the online Bookstores like Amazon, Barnes and Noble and the like, but more importantly, Buy/Sell/Exchange with others near you and connect.

 

I started MyBeeble because I was tired of people getting ripped off by the campus bookstore. So I decided to do something about it.  Looking back at when I was in school (many moons ago), I spent hours on end searching for the best deals online. Then, at the end of the semester I would print out ads, and post them on bulletin boards around campus…and wait. It wasn’t the perfect solution, but I made more when I sold, the other student saved more, and they received the book right away…it was a Win (Buyer-Student), Win (Seller- Student), Lose (Campus Bookstore). Hooray, I had figured out a way to beat the bookstore. I wanted to take those lessons learned and give everyone the same opportunity, but without the difficulties I was faced with.

I also learned that typically the person I was buying from had just finished the class I was about to start. So I made it possible for students to add each other as a friend, so they can exchange notes, and receive homework help from someone that has just completed the course they are about to start.

I wanted to make sure to provide more value than just the financial benefits, so I focused on the social side of the interactions as well. Many of us did not really under stand the power of the relationships we had, and could have formed. This is why we created a profile, so students can form an Academic based network. Which if you think about it, is the start of everyone’s professional network.

 

With that in mind I created a Mission for MyBeeble:

 

“To increasing connectivity, providing opportunities for knowledge and development.”

 

And I feel the MyBeeble App takes a step toward accomplishing just that.

 

With my little brother going off to college, I knew now was the time to provide a solution that would change the industry forever and always. So I have committed everything I've had to offer to make this solution a reality for all those with an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. I very much want to be able to provide this same great solution to those with an Android phone. This is the reason I am reaching out to you for help. With your donations not only will we be able to complete development of the Android version of MyBeeble, we will be able to give back to student organizations and non-profit organizations through a referral program that will lead to funding for their own altruistic endeavors.

 

I have spent countless hours making this great tool available, but in order to create the movement from, what has been traditionally a Sellers market (Publisher controlling the market), to Buyers market, I need your help in any manner, spreading the word, providing suggestions, donating to the cause, or simply words of support.
