My heart is absolutely shattered as I write this. On Wednesday, we lost my best friend, Lauren. The world feels dimmer without her bright spirit, her laughter, and her endless love. We are devastated, heartbroken, and trying our best to honor her exactly the way she wanted.

Her fight was brave, fierce, and full of hope just like her. She beat cancer once, but this second battle was more than her body could bear. She faced it with strength, grace, and the unshakeable positivity she was known for. And she was never alone.

Lauren was my best friend since childhood, the sister life gave me. She was my maid of honor, and I was honored to stand beside her as hers at her wedding. She was the kind of person who showed up for everyone no matter what she was going through because that’s who she was. Pure love, pure loyalty, pure light.
